C.04. HOW AND WHEN TO IMPLEMENT ALTERNATE SINGLE CLICK NAVIGATION |
|
Developers can easily deploy supplementary single click navigation from AuxTools™; and, owing to their (usually) smaller area, can deploy more AuxTools™ from a single row than is possible with labeled Tabs. Because vacillating tab rows impede user negotiation and persistently consume interface area which can be better used for the primary purposes of your application, any real advantage of single click tools will be restricted to populations of just a few pages. However, real navigation advantages are gained by supplemental navigation tools placed alongside the primary controls of your interfaces, which not only navigate to pages, but focus intended records or other data as well. Navigate-and-focus-data tools are an obligatory feature of first class interfaces. |
